Products I regret buying

Hey guys, so I've already done a holy grail products post so I guess it's time for me to make a "products I regret buying" one. Because the worst thing that can happen whilst your shopping is having bought a product that you hate and can't find a way to use it cause its so horrible. So here's the list of stuff that I've hated to keep you from making the same mistakes.
1. Summer sky lipstick:
So this one is the first one of all, and it's for a reason; it's the worst lipstick I've ever tried! I bought cause I thought it was a fuscia pink but I was wrong its like and orange red with like a pinkish undertone but it looks horrible on me, but that's not the worst part cause if I chose the wrong colour that more like my bad instead of the lipsticks. The worst part is that it smells and tastes like gasoline, imagine having gasoline on your lips, it's THAT bad. I don't think anybody tried it before launching it because its just disgusting.
In the picture you can see they tried making a dupe of the covergirls lip perfection lipsticks, that's the reason I bought it in the first place, I thought that if they had spent so much effort on a nice packaging the product was going to be reasonable at its least. As you can see I was wrong.

2. Ritmo eyeliner:
This is just a simple eyeliner, but I haven't really liked it cause it doesn't have that much pigmentation, you have to glide it a lot so that it can be seen on your waterline plus it clumps, yeah I know an eyeliner that clumps. It does it leaves these huge clumps on your eyelashes. I still have been using it though cause I don't like to throw things away just because I didn't love it, it still works but as soon as I finish this one I'm not ever buying one of their eyeliners again, I've read that Jordana has a nice one, ill see if I can try that one or I'll go back to the Cy Zone's mechanical eyeliner which was nice.

3. Summer sky liquid foundation:
I know, another Summer Sky product, don't get me wrong the fact that there are three of their products here doesn't mean you can't buy any of their products. Some of them are good, for example their lipglosses stay on forever, they are kind of sticky but that gives them the staying power so I love those. I have one of their bronzers which I bought to countour, but I don't use them for that because I look too skinny when I contour I use the bronzer like an eyeshadow cause its has this beautiful golden shimmer I love. Their blushes are good too so don't get fooled by some of the bad reviews I give of any brand here, they all have good and bad products the thing is just finding wwhich are good and which are bad.
Going back to the review of the liquid foundation first of all I picked the wrong colour and second it doesn't go at all with my oily skin (keep in mind I had no idea I had oily skin when I started using makeup, I found later on) it makes me look very shiny, it's oil free but it has glycerin which I think is the reason why it makes me more oily. It's also kind of heavy; you can feel you're wearing a foundation.

4. Princessa concealer:
Creases like crazy. That's all I have to say. It matches my skin perfectly but it's oil based so it creases, I tend to blot it after applying it so that it doesn't crease as much but sometimes it creases anyways. I'm trying to finish it to upgrade to a maybellines or a revlon concealer.

5. Summer sky loose powder:
The problem with this one is that it doesn't match my colour and it doesn't go well with my oily skin, so it could be a good product but not for me cause its not mattifying. I'm considering to try a "rice" powder cause they have oil absorbing properties or I could just buy covergirls clean powder for oily skin, I would really like to try maybellines dream matte cause I've heard wonders of it but they only have light and medium shades :(
Ok so that's it for the products I regret buying, I know these are really cheap products but I do think somebody has to review them cause we can find a ton of reviews online of drugstore and high end makeup products and the cheap ones dont get as much attention even though there's a huge amount of people buying them. So I like to dedicate some time talking about these cause there are buyers who would like to know about them before spending their money on them even though they're so cheap. Plus, this blog has to be different in some way, we already have tons of NARS, NYX and Revlon reviews don't we?

Colours of the Rainbow TAG!

I saw this TAG on EleventhGorgeous's Channel on Youtube, they tagged everyone who watched their video so I decided to do it too. In this TAG you basically pick products that you like that match the colours of the rainbow and you talk about them and say why you like them. Im going to start with the outer part:

1- RED
Jordana Easy Shine Lip Gloss in Sweet Strawberry
I began using Jordana easy shine lip glosses on December, I got my first one at Sema but I bought this one in Jumbo Agora.    I really like these they have kind of a lip balm texture with sheer but workable color and they smell delicious. This one smells like strawberry but I believe that the "grape-tini" one smells the best. I got to say a con about this is that it doesn't last very much on, if you don't mind reapplying its a great lipgloss.

2- ORANGE
St. Ives Blemish Control Apricot Scrub
You guys have heard me talk about this scrub before because I absolutely adore it! Thanks to this scrub I have no more acne with the exception of those ocassional zits you get once in a while. I love the smell and how it doesn't leave the skin feeling dry even if its cleaning deep down the pores.

3- YELLOW
Kleancolor Baby's got Washable Mascara
I know most people rant about how great maybellines mascaras are but to be honest I have yet to try the famous "falsies" I will though once I get through my actual mascara which is this one. It's a kleancolor baby's got washable mascara and its my favorite right now. I like it over l'bels mascaras I like it over cy zone mascaras and it only cost me 100 pesos ($2.50 bucks). So why do I love it so much? Because its washable, it's so easy to take it off and it does the job, you can get nice results if you layer the product or just apply it once for a natural look.

4- GREEN
Ponds Cleansing Cream
This cleansing cream is very good, but I don't use it for the purpose that was intended, I use it to clean my brushes. Don't get me wrong it's a good makeup remover, it does the job but the thing is I have oily skin and this product feels oily so it's double the oiliness on my face plus it stings my eyes sometimes and it's difficult to keep it from getting into your eyes when you're trying to remove eye makeup. For brushes it's great though, it takes away all the gunk and the oils hydrate the brushes keeping them from getting dry and brittle.

5- BLUE
Ponds Bio Hidratante
I love how this smells, it has a fresh citrusy scent. I use it at night and also use it as a hand cream because it makes hands feel soft and hidrated.
6- VIOLET
John Frieda 100% Shine Glossing Mist
I found this product recently while I was on the shampoo aisle in la sirena and I tried. It as soon as I got home and fell in love with it since then. It makes hair so soft and manageable whilst it adds shine and controls frizz plus it smells great. I have a huge frizz issue this product has helped a lot.

Anyways guys, I hope you enjoyed my blog post, if you have tried any of the products I mentioned and have the same or a different opinion comment below!  ;)

May beauty SALES in Dominican Republic

If you've already read all my past posts you'd probably already know that im no Beauty guru, I'm just someone who was introduced to this beauty world not long ago and I have really liked. I started this blog to document and share what I learn and expirience during my journey to "beauty sapience. And something I really enjoy is reading the sales magazines we get every month along with the newspaper! Mothers day is this months so we're getting some discounts in the beauty aisle. The sales magazine I have today is from Jumbo.
Thats the cover of the magazine, basically the sales are all oriented to mothers day and Jumbo actually focused their sales on clothes and beauty products. La Sirena on the other hand focused on clothes and kitchen appliances but I dont have that one right now.
Lets start with the good stuff, for me this sale is the best one. If you buy a St. Ives Coconut Orquid lotion you get a St. Ives Vitamin E body wash which is awesome because I love St. Ives products, they very good at what they do.
So here we have another St. Ives sale, if you buy a Fresh Skin apricot scrub you get a St. Ives vitamin body lotion. This ones pretty good but I personally wouldnt buy it because Im in love with the St. Ives Blemish Control apricot scrub, but if you dont have a problem with acne or your face doesnt react too well to salicylic acid, you'd probably find thisjust as awesome.
Here you get 2 OPI nail varnishes for the price of one, this is great cause OPI's are very good.
The Sales magazine also had some clothes sales, I got to say Im not a huge fan of Jumbos clothes, not because theyre not pretty, but because they tend to buy too much of the same thing and then everyone in the whole ciy has the same top so so you keep bumping into people wearing the same prints as you are, some people dont really mind, thats why if I do see something really nice I do buy it but Jumbo's not my go-to store if I'm looking for clothes. But that said here are some looks I liked:
I think the pink blouse in the middle is pretty nice, i like the square cut-outs and the fact that its kinda long because that means you can tuck it in or knot the front part to achieve different looks, it looks versatile.
A Peplum Top! I love it and it looks great with the touch of gold they added with the belt its very pretty. The cobalt blue jeans are nice (cobalt blue is my favorite colour). I also like the shoes, they're very trendy. This look seems to me very Kim Kardashian, she adores peplum tops and those kind of shoes are very much her style.
This look confuses me a little, there's something that I like and there something I dont like. I'm pretty sure I like the top and the capri's on the  other hand... I dont know, I want to like them because they're fun and colourful, great for summer but I dont really like them. Anyways, this is just my personal opinion. Have you seen any awesome sales this month? Comment below! ;)

#BeShameless

Hey guys! Just a while ago I was on youtube searching for curly hair tutorials and I found this girls channel and found it very interesting.

Her name is Maya Washington and she has made a life changing decision, on April 24, 2012 she decided she was going to be Shameless. She wants to promote herself and gain confidence by overcoming the barriers she herself has put up. The name of her YouTube Channel is "Shameless Maya" and this is where she posts videos of her journey as a completely shameless person, she even shaved her own hair off! Not that I'm personally fond of "BritneySpearesque" rituals but I seriously find her goal quite interesting, we do, after all put invisible barriers to ourselves and we know that all the great people throughout history were great because they were able to break through these self induced barriers. It would be nice to not think about what others think all the time and do what we like best for once in a while, this is why Maya is not alone in her journey. A lot of people have been inspired by Maya's decision and have decided to join her the #BeShameless is used by her followers on Twitter, you can also follow her on Twitter @mayasworld if youre interested.
Have you found any interesting people on the social media? Comment below and share! ;)

Holy Grail Products!

Ive been wanting to do a Holy Grail Products post for a while, I  havent got many though but I really do love these and I will be definetely buying them once more when I run out of them.
1. St. Ives Blemish Control Apricot Scrub

St. Ives Blemish Control Front

St. Ives Blemish Control Back/ Ingredients

This scrub claims that  it has 100% natural exfoliants, it deeply cleans pores preventing breakouts before they even occur. I absolutely adore this scrub, it smells great and cleans pores deeply without overdrying the skin. I had really bad acne for years and my pores were so huge you could see them miles away (get used to my exageration, youll see tons of it). After I started using this every other day I noticed that the were no more pimples appearing on my face, which was awesome and my pores were drastically reduced. I loved this scrub so much that I went off to the store to purchase a Body scrub, but I was disapointed, it was a good scrub, but it really didnt leave my skin just like the St. Ives Apricot Scrub.
2. Ponds Clarant B3 for Normal to Oily Skin.

Ponds Clarant B3 for Oily Skin

This products claims that if you use it everyday, day and night, for six weeks it will evenout your skin tone and control your oiliness. I bought this on November 2013, I applied it everyday on the morning and evening and used. Im going to be honest at first a was very skeptical, you cant see immediate results with this producti started noticing some changes after about a month or so and it wasnt that much though, not for a month. But i kept using it and now I only have like 1/4 left of the 100gr version but the results are really good, you do have to be very patient but over time you'll see the diference. A lot of people say this product isnt higienic because it doesnt have a pump and you have to "dig" for the product, but I believe it depends how you use it. I mean I apply it after taking a shower so my hands are clean every time I use it.
3. Toque Magico Emergencia Mascarilla de Hidratacion Intensa/Control Horquetillas (Emergencia Intense Moisture and Split End Mask)
Emergencia Intense Moisture/Split End Mask

Emergencia Intense Moisture/Split End Mask Ingredients

This is a dominican product made by Crom Laboratories it says "this moisture and antibreackage treatment uses sweet smelling coconut along with other highly effective ingredients that will provide shine and softness to hair.
I really like this hair mask I can tell its made of natural ingredients due to the smell it acquires after some months after you buy it. It is however verryyy good, it does provide noticeable softness to hair, my hair is naturally curly but it tends to feel coarse when its dry and this mask makes it so soft and shiny I have already bought two of these and I have the shampoo that goes with it, I dont like the shampoo though because its on the drying side.

Good News! Revlon Nearly Naked Is Here Dominican Beauties!

Hey Girls! I was nearly forgetting to tell you guys that the long waited for Nearly Naked foundation already got here, I spotted it on La Sirena in Galeria 360, Santo Domingo, they dont have many colours though but I think its worth taking a look. I must say, I didnt see the pressed powders there :( which is kinda sad but I believe they'll soon be available. The price like 600 and something pesos which is a little more than 15 bucks (notice how overpriced things are here). Anyways at least we can get it close to home.
Have you seen any new products? Where do you like to buy your cosmetics? Please comment below ;)

Beyonce "Why dont you love me" Makeup

So Ive been pretty bored now that Im on vacation and I didnt know what to do on the afternoon so I decided to practice some makeup looks I had already liked on YouTube (Yeah I know, my life's super interesting). I had seen this makeup tutorial by Tanya Burr a while ago and I went back to see how it looked on me, so heres how it ended up looking:
I know it looks very simple compared to the real makeup she wears, but lets be honest, if you go out looking like Beyonce does in that video you will definetely make an impression that lasts, and Im pretty sure it wont be in a good way. The point is, we're not Beyonce and the camera did wash out some colour. I like it though, I really like the touch of blue, I love blue.

Anyways, I dont know why but everytime I try do my makeup I always create this huge mess all around me, it doesnt matter how much I try.
Yeah I know, you wont find no NARS there, nor MAC my budget for cosmetics runs kinda short but if you're interested on tutorials of people using those products Tanya Burr's the way to go ;) Well heres a link of the makeup tutorial:

I hope you enjoyed this post, if you have any makeup tutorials of your own or love any other makeup artist please comment below, Id love to check it out ;)
